About
Chris Bell has served as a member of the Houston City Council and United States Congress and was the Democratic Nominee for Governor of Texas in 2006. He has been practicing law in Texas since 1992, and has represented hundreds of clients on a wide variety of matters. Due to his expertise in examining witnesses and speaking to juries, Mr. Bell is a highly rated and regarded trial lawyer and has secured substantial settlements and verdicts in personal injury and commercial litigation cases. Formerly of counsel with the nation’s premier lobbying firm,Patton Boggs, Mr. Bell also has over a decade of experience helping individuals and companies navigate the complex channels of government.
Mr. Bell graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982 with a degree in journalism. While at UT, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and President of the Interfraternity Council. He was also a member of the prestigious Texas Cowboys service organization and founded the organization responsible for bringing student government back to the Austin campus. After graduating college, Mr. Bell became an award winning broadcast journalist and, in 1991 he was named the best radio reporter in Texas by the Associated Press. After serving as a journalist and court reporter, Mr. Bell decided to fight for Texans in the courtroom, and in 1992, received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
Mr. Bell is married to his wonderful wife, Alison, and they are the proud parents of two sons, Atlee and Connally.
